Commandeering the Cruise Ship
I was born in Yuba City, CA and raised in Marysville on a prune orchard. I have lived in Northern California all my life, unless you count my travels, in which case I “lived” in many places. I have been to Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Germany, the Czech Republic, India, Singapore, Alaska, and Yukon Territory.
I have 1 niece and 4 nephews, who I adore and love to spend time with. I also have 5 siblings who I love (most of the time). I love to play tennis, soccer, volleyball, racquetball, and running. I also enjoy horse riding (with my friend Kelly), outdoor activities such as white water rafting, kayaking, and hiking. I read a lot of book and from many different genres.
I attended the University of California, Davis where I got a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Minored in Education. I have been working as a long-term substitute teacher and para-educator for the past year, but recently took a job as my mom’s assistant in her real estate office (the benefits where too good to pass!)
I am aspiring to attend medical school and am currently applying, so keep your fingers crossed! Currently, I am interested in pursuing Emergency Medicine or Neurosurgery, but I’m not sure at the moment which one is the best for me. I also want to work abroad once I am a physician to be able to give back to medically underserved populations.
Overall, I love life and hope you enjoy my blog!
